CeramicSpeed was founded in 2004 by ex SKF employee Jacob Csizmadia. During his time at SKF Jacob realized the need for a company that specialised in high quality custom bearings. As well as making bearings for sport CeramicSpeed also make bearings for industrial applications, they are the new technology bearing specialists.

CeramicSpeed bearing races are hand assembled in Denmark using Grade 3 Silicon Nitride balls, the higest grade for hybrid ceramic bearings, these meet or exceed NASA engineering standards.

Using CeramicSpeed bearings in hubs Bottom Bracket and pully wheels will reduce drag by 10 watts

Ceramic hybrid bearings have 90% less friction than all steel bearings.

Extremely wear resistant in like for like tests CeramicSpeed bearings last approx 5 times longer than standard steel bearings.

Weight reduction. Silicon nitride is 60% lighter than steel. This gives less material to accelerate when the speed changes and this results in a quicker response from the bicycle.
